About 1837 House
Steph's Folk Art Studio recently moved next door to a charming house located on the property of Spruce Lane Lodge. The house, built in 1837, was the inspiration for our new studio and gift shop. The 1837 House is located in the heart of Lancaster County and Amish Country, and is likely to become one of your favorite vacation stops. Our shop is loaded with quality decorative painting supplies--brushes, paints, wood, and select patterns. We even added a new "gift" section for customers who would rather "appreciate" the decorative arts.
We are proud to be a leading art school offering workshops in the fine art of decorative painting. Our projects are practical and fun and offer our students a sense of joy and accomplishment when they're able to take home their completed pieces at the end of each course. For over 20 years our national teachers have provided the time-tested techniques and hands-on instruction that keep our students coming back again and again. In fact, many of our students come from all over the world to join our workshops.
We strive to provide the best possible instruction for each and every student that joins our workshops.
